Commanders Newsletter

February 2026

Dear District 4 Members;

My Fellow Comrades,
I like to Thank you to ALL for continuing up with our with our Legion family values and traditions.

Seasonal Reminder, Winter Preparations

Buddy Checks Are Essential!

January was a Freezing cold month, glad everyone made it through our Southern Frost and snow without anyone being seriously effected by it. Remember: Winter is still here and we are not out of the woods yet!
As Legionnaires, we are committed to the principle of “Leave No Man or Woman Behind.” with bitter cold weather upon us, it is vital that we continue to conduct regular Buddy Checks. Many veterans and elderly community members face difficult choices during winter months, sometimes between medication and heat. Pride may prevent them from asking for help, so please reach out proactively and consistently. Your efforts truly make a difference.
Thank you.

Winter Driving Safety
Please continue to exercise caution on icy roads. Stay alert and drive safely—accidents can happen in an instant.
