November 2025

Dear District 4 Members.

Seasonal Reminder, Winter Preparations: Buddy Checks Are Essential

As colder weather approaches, we encourage every Post to begin organizing their Buddy Check teams. Many of our members are in their seventies and eighties, and some may be facing financial hardships they’re reluctant to share. Difficult choices between heating and medication are a reality for some

Please stay vigilant:

  • If a member you regularly see has been absent, reach out with a phone call or visit.
  • A simple check-in can make a life-saving difference.
  • Let’s ensure no one is left behind this winter.

September 0f 2025 during the DEC meeting we noticed an old torn up American Flag flying at the Holiday Inn,

I immediately went to the front desk and demanded that they change the flag. The lady said i will make a note for the maintenance on Monday, today was Friday.

I said not acceptable this hotel is full of American Veterans and you’re flying a flag like that. It is a disgrace to us all. It needs to be changed right now, not wait until Monday. Needles to said they sent someone to change it immediately.

After noticing they were putting up a plastic flag the Senor Vice Commander Richard D. and i went to Lowes and purchased a real flag and we told them we put it up and gave them the plastic flag.

Thank you to all who attended our District 4 meeting on September 14, 2025. While the meeting ran longer than anticipated, we hope the information shared was valuable and that future meetings will be more concise.
